- OPI has been able to grow organically and through acquisitions in Pakistan:
- In 1995, acquired Occidental Petroleum’s Pakistan operations
- In 2008, the Mirpur Khas and Khipro Blocks were farmed-out to BP
- In 2015, acquired the Zamzama gas field from BHP Billiton
- In 2018, OPI acquired working interests in assets from Tullow Oil, Saif Energy and OGDCL
